British Enterprise : Senior BI Analyst
Summary:
As a BI Analyst – Business Analytics you will be responsible for providing insight and analysis into the performance of our product suite, the global digital brands we work with, and ultimately their customers. You will combine your domain knowledge and experience of quantitative and statistical methods to ensure that our overall marketing and product strategies become ‘data driven’ and that Sr. Managers are able to consume the reports and insights needed to align to product key performance indicators.
You will be part of a team responsible for driving insight into the commercial and product performance, generating the data to drive decision-making and informing marketing and product strategies. You will help to identify and solve marketing and product specific problems to ensure overall client satisfaction.
Working with other business units and stakeholders across the business you will combine data sources to provide a comprehensive overview of all marketing and product performance including financial data, customer data and product quality.
Key Requirements
- Define and measure business success, quality metrics, standards and reporting;
- Structure, analyze and report on performance from data extraction (SQL), to statistical analysis (Various STATS tools) to visualization (Power Point or other visualization);
- As part of the Business Intelligence team, develop and implement best practice methodologies for the quantitative analysis & visualization of data;
- Use of a combination of web metrics, marketing & product reporting, financial reporting and third-party research data to generate insights on performance in the market;
- Along with the Director of Analytics and Sr. Managers, proactively structure analyses from hypothesis development to modelling to support commercial decisions and to influence marketing & product roadmap and go-to-market strategy;
- Work with counterparts in Marketing and Business Intelligence to define and measure the user journeys and user behaviour within digital products, identify key data points and how they relate to the broader conversion strategies for customers;
- Perform hands-on analysis in support of business requests, including development of conclusions and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Degree educated or equivalent experience, preferably in a statistical / mathematical subject (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Operations Research;
- Personable character and a good communicator – ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to non-technical staff;
- SQL, relational database knowledge and Excel skills;
- Data manipulation and analysis skills;
- Experience in Business Intelligence, reporting & visualization tools (i.e. Tableau) an asset;
- Experience with STATS tools (in particular R) an asset;
- Experience in multi-channel analytics, including web analytics;
- This position requires limited International travel.
